Icelandic Artists will be presented in an exhibition in Katonah Museum, opening in June 2013. Pari Stave curates the exhibition, ICELAND: Artists Respond to Place. Einar Falur will take part and has worked with this wonderful curator before, as she curatued his Saga-Sites in Scandinavia House in 2012.

All artwork in the exhibition dates from the past ten years. Other featured artists are Birgir Andrésson, Eggert Pétursson, Egill Sæbjörnsson, Georg Guðni Hauksson, Guðjón Ketilsson, Guðrún Einarsdóttir, Katrín Sigurdardóttir, Olafur Eliasson, Ragna Róbertsdóttir, Rúrí, and Þórdis Alda Sigurðardóttir.

“This will be the first museum exhibition in the United State to focus exclusively on the rich and complex relationship of contemporary Icelandic artists to the singular geography of Iceland—one of the most geologically phenomenal and dynamic places on earth. The exhibition will center on 12 to 15 leading contemporary artists whose works cover a broad range of formal approaches and media, including painting, photography, sculpture, site-specific wall-drawings, and video installations. All artwork in the exhibition will date from the past ten years,” is stated on the museum’s homepage. The exhibition will travel to other venues in the States.

This work, In Dalasýsla, from 2009, will be in the exhibition.
